STORY:
Skagsanden Beach, Lofoten Island, Norway
When we arrived at this location, the wind was blowing and snow was falling sideways. It wasn’t looking very promising. Nun the less, I grabbed my gear and made my way to the beach, stopping along the way to capture what was available. When you trek through soft, newly fallen snow, you just don’t know what lies below. As I found out very quickly when I sunk to my hip at one section. A little bit scary. I saw these rocks just off the beach and thought that there could be a possible reflection in the water with the mountains in the back drop. But while it was snowing and the wind blowing, there was nothing happening. But as it is with the weather in the region, one minute it’s blowing a gale, then the sun pops out. You just need to be ready. I was ready. The colour was a bonus.
